Christmas - together (more than ever) this year!
Wednesday December 12th 6pm-11pm
A Prayer Vigil when people can drop in and spend a few moments and lighting candles, and remembering women, particularly women who have been willing to take risks for the sake of bringing life and hope into situations that are threatening and dangerous. We will remembering women in the “Caravan”/ Caravana and at border crossings as part of this year’s special focus.
Sunday December 16th 2pm-6/7pm
A Posadas procession, and caroling starting at 2pm (likely departing at 2.30pm) at the 117th Street / Park Avenue Armonie Bistro then making our way across the neighborhood to 3rd Avenue, then down to E106th and dropping down to the Fire Station at 102nd St / 3rd Ave before ending up at Church of the Living Hope at E104th Street between Lexington Ave and 3rd Ave. Hot Chocolate is served at 4.45pm and we then head into the storytelling tent in the church for a short Pastorela enacting the first Christmas (bi-lingual). We hope to serve more hot chocolate and mulled apple cider at the conclusion of the evening at 6pm
