Part-Time Position for Church School Administrator
The Garden City Community Church is searching for a part-time Church School Administrator to sustain
and grow its children's programming, with a specific focus on Sunday school and annual church special
events including Vacation Bible School.
Garden City Community Church is a loving, welcoming, open and affirming Christian community located
in the heart of Nassau County. Established in 1929, GCCC has been serving the community with worship,
mission trips, community theatre, music, service projects and more for more than 90 years.
Job duties entail:
1. Serve as a liaison between parents, youth and church (phone calls, email, etc.) regarding
all Church School Youth events (excluding Middle School or Confirmation age)
2. Consult with Ministry for spiritual advisement
3. Organize parent volunteers to lead a Sunday school class each week (currently 2 classes
for children aged K-5th grade)
4. Purchase and organize materials, lessons, special events such as a giving day or events
such as Lenten Walk, Vacation Bible School (VBS), Christmas Pageant, Welcoming Day,
etc. or other special events
5. Decorate bulletin boards and classrooms as needed
6. Obtain attendance information and submit weekly to church office and Council
7. Prepare a budget (estimate) for VBS and any proposed spending for special projects
8. Lead VBS
9. Communicate weekly to church school families via email blasts, postcards, etc. of any
special notifications or events
10. Plan curriculum using Spark and crafts or activities to correspond to the lesson or Bible
passage
11. Meet and welcome new families that attend Church School and pass along contact
information to Church Office (as new members or interested potential members)
12. Attend Sunday school weekly as a leader for the program - consideration will be available
for a schedule if during certain months Sunday attendance is not required
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, experience coordinating programs for children, and a
passion for delivering Bible messages in engaging ways.
This is an hourly position for a maximum of 15 hours per week with a 6-month contract. Time
commitment includes approximately 2 hours each Sunday. Rate is $20/hour.

THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF MANHASSET Job Description Digital Marketing Associate
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Associate to assist the ministers with digital communications for the church.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for live streaming and/or recording videos at 10 AM Sunday services and other occa-sional events (ex. concerts, adult education programs, guest speakers, etc.)
• Responsible for any post production/editing of service/events, whether live streamed or pre-recorded
• Responsible for posting worship services across all social media platforms, Facebook, Insta-gram, YouTube and distributing through Mailchimp
• Responsible for including correct, up to date copyright information on any live streaming or pre-recorded videos. (There are several church copyright companies that provide licensing op-tions.)
• Responsible for sending out weekly announcements to the congregation from the ministers via Mailchimp template and social media postings
• Responsible for editing and sending out weekly inspirational materials from the ministers (60 second sermons etc.) through Mailchimp and social media
• Responsible for creating collateral material with customized images for marketing of events and scheduled weekly activities to be posted on social media and other marketing platforms. This also will involve producing, photocopying of the weekly church service bulletins and oc-casional mailing materials to the congregation
• Responsible for creating a weekly QR code for the service bulletins
• Responsible for creating and maintaining online registration for events or activities
• Responsible for setting up any digital media equipment during services (ex. projecting inspira-tional snippets on Sanctuary screen, or opening announcements during the prelude).
• Assist Church staff as needed.
Qualifications
• Experience with digital marketing, media production of marketing materials
• Experience with creative solutions to communications projects
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
Requirements
• Ability to work at The Congregational Church of Manhasset on Sundays and holidays as needed.
• Work 18 hours per week
