APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE Louise Manigault Scholarship Fund
From the Metropolitan Association, NY Conference, United Church of Christ
Deadline for applications: August 31, 2023
In September of 2020, after the passing of The Executive Administrator,
Louise Manigualt, whose heart and passion for the youth of the
Metropolitan Association, the Board of Directors changed the name of the
award to The NYUCC Metropolitan Association's Louise Manigault
Scholarship.
This outstanding award continues to be a blessing to many and continues
to use
the interest from an endowment fund given by the South Congregational
Church, Brooklyn, NY to provide scholarships, annually, for undergraduate
students within the Metropolitan Association churches who are entering
their 2 nd , 3 rd or 4 th year.
In February of 2023, we lost our devoted sister, Rev. Cynthia Jackson, a
member of the Scholarship Committee. The Board of Directors have
approved the establishment of the Rev. Cynthia Jackson Award of
Excellence for students attending graduate, Seminary, trade schools and
other certification programs.
The scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:
1. The recipient must be a member of a United Church of Christ
